10 Minute Beginner Yoga For Mobility Routine Yoga Rove It is very common for people to hold tension and tightness in the shoulders due to poor posture and prolonged sitting. the following poses are great for opening up the chest, shoulders, and surrounding areas, such as the neck. 1. eagle arms pose (garurasana) eagle arms provide a great stretch for both shoulders. Lift your arms up into the air as you flatten your back, and fold over your right leg. do not let your chest collapse onto your leg still actively engage your core and lift up through your chest as you fold. stay here for 30 seconds and remember to breathe into the discomfort! stretches: hamstrings, spine, hips. Program structure. workouts ranging from 20 40 minutes in length (averaging 35 minutes each) 2 4 months, 4 phases, 20 workouts. proceed at your own pace, but be consistent. 3 7 workouts per week recommend (not including supplementary workouts).
