And no sooner than the thought crossed my mind, a door to one of the houses creaked open warily. i leapt hurriedly into the nearby bushes, throat tight with anticipation. a tall, lean, muscular red head with minty green eyes and a baseball cap emerged from behind the door, brandishing an aluminum baseball bat. then the door to a yellow house on.
