Mockingbird Trail Cadence Cadence The multi sensory mural, which is located at the lighthouse of broward (650 n. andrews avenue) on the mockingbird trail, brings a new experience to how one interacts with art. through sight, touch, sound and smell, the visitor encounters and feels the mockingbird’s habitat through a sensory experience designed by cadence. the mural called. The official kick off for the mockingbird trail project was held on august 22nd with the art of community ensemble – flagler village community garden, cadence and girls’ club. the meeting was filled with a creative vision and eagerness to bring these ideas to life.

Mockingbird Trail Cadence Cadence Mockingbird trail will be south florida’s first urban art trail and will encourage residents to step outside and explore. the team has crafted a story for the neighborhood — a tale of a giant orange mockingbird, illusive to the human eye. sprinkled along the trail will be evidence of its existence in the form of large public art sculptures. Phase one of the mockingbird trail launched in october 2015, and yamamoto will complete two more sculptures this year to finalize the art component of the trail. with further funding, cadence will bring in native, wildlife nourishing plant life and subtle lighting. “we feel like we’ve created something that has meaning, and it’s specific. Cadence and the friends of mockingbird trail will be picnicking at peter feldman park (a mockingbird trail stop!) in the flagler village neighborhood starting at 12pm. the whole family and well behaved pets are welcome to join! location: peter feldman park (corner of ne 6th street and ne 3rd avenue in flagler village). Mockingbird trail was conceived in the spring of 2014 by cadence and flagler village resident, chad scott. how could the highly creative neighborhood of flagler village create a project by the community for the community that addressed this major issue residents were facing – un friendly walking conditions and lack of access to quality green space in the urban realm?.
