Make It Artwork Op Art Cubes These op art cubes belong to the high school art 1 class. my only true rule was that they had to try to make them up on their own and not to copy from the internet. so each side of the box should have a different design, except for the one student who decided to make the box look like ribbons that wrap from all sides. Op art cubes. in intro to art, the students learned about optical illusions and created these op art cubes. i introduced them to six different types of optical illusions and went through the steps to create each one. i like this project a lot, because it puts all the students on an even level of drawing. whether a student is a really good. There was a distinct ‘op art buzz’ going on, so i took the ideas and lesson i did for op art cubes with the grade 6’s at the other school, and added a pedestal to display the grade 7 8’s efforts. we taped a half opened paper clip to the inside of one corner so that the opened end stuck out.
