Adding shades of color to the rose leaves. it is important when painting a rose, to create a variety of different shades of green for its rose leaves. for the lighter parts of the rose i mixed in cadmium yellow with my pthalo green alizarin crimson mixture. i sometimes added white if i needed to make it even lighter.
