The seven elements of art are line, shape, form, space, value, color and texture. these elements are the essential components, or building blocks, of any artwork. any good artwork should consist of these 7 ingredients. This lesson took 3 art classes to complete (40 minutes each). 2nd graders followed along with me as i did a guided drawing for their bear under the document camera. we drew our bears on 12×12″ 80# white drawing paper in pencil to start. then added a ton of texture for the fur by drawing lots and lots of lines with a fine point sharpie. Step 8: inside the reversed triangles, draw smaller reversed triangles. step 9: on the third row, trace a triangle on every 2 mandala grid sections. step 10: trace another inner line on one side of these triangles. step 11: on the inner side of the triangles, and in the space created between the double line and mainline, draw a complete small.
