Celebrating Women S History Month At Tu Towson University Wed., march 8, 4:30 p.m., south campus pavilion. the society will host a networking event to celebrate international women’s day and the first annual awarding of tall wiedefeld society grants. meet the award winners, learn about their programs, network and enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. for more information, email [email protected]. There is a strong legacy of women’s leadership at towson university. earlier this month, tu launched the tall wiedefeld society, which was named after two former leaders of towson university—lida lee tall (1920–37) and dr. mary theresa wiedefeld (1938–47). these two women together led towson university for more than a quarter century.

Women and social movements in the united states, 1600 2000 is a resource for students and scholars of u.s. history and u.s. women's history. the collection currently includes 124 document projects and archives with more than 5,100 documents and 175,000 pages of additional full text documents, written by 2,800 primary authors. In honor of women's history month, we'd like to introduce you to four tu leaders: president schatzel, vice president for inclusion and institutional equity leah cox, college of business and economics dean shohreh kaynama, and deputy director of athletics and senior woman administrator tricia turley brandenburg.
