Mermay sketch 14 colored:) i was really dragging my feet when it came to coloring this piece as the original sketch was a little boring…so i decided to change things up a little. add a sunset and splashing waves and you’ve got my attention. the biggest challenge for me was balancing the sunset behind the mermaid and not loosing her completely to the backlight. i added some cool tones to.
