How you can get involved. hope for justice is fighting human trafficking and helping victims and survivors all around the world. this work is only possible because of a growing global movement of ordinary people who support this life changing work in many different ways. be part of it.
Anti Slavery Day Smestow Academy Beginnings . founded in 1833 by twelve women, the boston female anti slavery society stated in its constitution: believing slavery to be a direct violation of the laws of god, and productive of a vast amount of misery and crime; and convinced that its abolition can only be effected by an acknowledgement of the justice and necessity of immediate emancipation, we hereby agree to form ourselves. 71% of overall victims of modern slavery – nearly 30 million – are estimated to be women and girls. in some forms, such as forced sexual exploitation, they account for as many as 99% victims, some as young as five years old. but only 63,000 victims of slavery were reported to the authorities between 2012 and 2014 – that’s roughly less.
