Op's question isn't clear since it could refer to the winch power or controlling in out. winch power cannot go through the auxiliary switches because the current is too high. in this instance you'd use a high current relay and turn the relay on off with the switch. controlling in out is possible with the auxiliary switches. Warn makes a power interrupt kit (sku: 62132) which includes a solenoid, switch, and wiring. the included switch was not used since i run an spod in the jeep, so i simply wired the solenoid switching posts to an empty switch station on my spod. that being said, the install of the warn power interrupt kit was very straightforward. It controls power and direction for the winch motor. some move it for water fording to keep it dry. without a separate power interrupt near the battery, you still have a hot wire going out to the winch, unless the control box is moved back by the battery where the power interrupt would be. last edited: feb 6, 2021.
