Series: disciples making disciples, part 4 of 6 delivered on july 5, 2015. this is message number four in our series on disciples making disciples. we’re going to turn this great commission text once again, and look at it from another angle, and then see how it plays out in the rest of the new testament. today’s focus will be on teaching. Discipleship is following a person, and a wonderful person at that—jesus christ. jesus makes this clear in matthew 16:24–25. notice that jesus boils discipleship down to one simple idea. discipleship means, “com (ing) after me.”. a disciple is a follower of christ.
